How Is EPCE Organized?

Administration, finance, and marketing of EPCE is managed by the Council for Adult & Experiential Learning (CAEL). CAEL’s EPCE staff manages all aspects of the coalition activities with guidance and oversight by the EPCE member committees.

What are the EPCE member committees?

Governance Committee

Provides guidance and direction to CAEL for EPCE’s mission, management and strategic direction by:

  • reviewing EPCE administration, management and finances
  • establishing overall organizational performance criteria
  • advising on the guidelines for membership
  • supporting the rules and guidelines for organizational governance

Curriculum Committees

Represents the voices of the industry for EPCE in the review and approval of EPCE-sponsored curriculum by:

  • providing overall industry and EPCE approval of curriculum
  • recommending revisions to the EPCE education program as warranted by changes in the industry
  • serving as industry link and resource to the education partner
  • providing input into the design, development and maintenance of EPCE curriculum

Marketing Committee

Provides input into the marketing activities and facilitates communication about EPCE educational programs by:

  • surveying and communicating the training and education needs of the Coalition as it pertains to EPCE
  • supporting promotion of the program within the membership
  • monitoring changes in the industry and providing input on how EPCE should respond from a marketing perspective
  • providing feedback on marketing goals, strategies and communications
