Bismarck State College
Bismarck State College (BSC), located in Bismarck, North Dakota, provides high quality education that maximizes student learning and makes students partners in their education. Bismarck State College’s National Energy Center of Excellence is a national leader in providing energy technology education and has been training workers for the energy industry since 1971. Their instructors are content experts with hands-on experience in the energy industry.
BSC is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and part of the North Dakota University System.
The EPCE coalition selected BSC as its first education partner in 2001 based on the college's strong history in both serving the energy industry and offering online courses since 1998. EPCE first partnered with BSC to develop the online Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Electric Power Technology. EPCE again joined with BSC to develop and offer the AAS in Nuclear Power Technology, which launched in late 2003. In addition to these two EPCE-sponsored programs, BSC offers three additional energy certificate and AAS degree programs, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, fully online.
