Bismarck State College, located in Bismarck, North Dakota, provides a high quality learning-centered education that maximizes student learning and makes students partners in their education. Bismarck State College is a national leader in providing energy technology education and has been training workers for the energy industry since 1976. Their instructors are content experts with hands-on experience in the utility industry.

Bismarck State College (BSC) is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and part of the North Dakota University System.

The EPCE coalition selected Bismarck State College as its first education partner in 2001 based on the college's strong history in both serving the energy industry and offering online courses since 1998. EPCE first partnered with Bismarck State College to develop the online Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Electric Power Technology. EPCE again joined with BSC to develop and offer the AAS in Nuclear Power Technology, which launched in late 2003. In addition to these two EPCE-sponsored programs, Bismarck State College offers three additional energy certificate and AAS degree programs fully online.
