Ray Lobb travels quite a lot for his job at Par Electrical Contractors - almost 25% of the time. So when he wanted to advance his education and learn more about substations, he began searching the Internet for an online program. When he found EPCE and the online program in Electric Power Technology, he knew it was what he'd been looking for.

Ray started the program two years ago and since then, has been completing his assignments and handling his exams online, from home or on the road and, in his spare time, building his own house! "I really like that I can do this on my own schedule, no matter what hour of the day or where I’m located." The flexibility of the online format has been key. More importantly, Ray has been learning more about electrical systems. "I came from a background in telecommunications, so this program has helped me understand the technical side of the industry."

Now that he has graduated with his A.A.S. degree, earned entirely online, Ray has this advice for first-time students: "Make sure to do your assignments as soon as you can. You’ll learn much more than if you’re strapped for time and rushing through your coursework."
